Add, hide, re-order questions in a Matrix group

To edit questions in an existing Matrix question group:

1. On your home page, locate and open a survey in the survey editor.
2. Locate the question you want to change and click Edit
3. Click Save Changes (or Cancel to exit the editor without changes).

To add questions to a matrix group:

To add new questions to an established matrix question group, click "Add More Questions", located directly under the existing questions.

1. On your home page, locate and open a survey in the survey editor.
2. Locate the question you want to change and click Edit
3. Click Add More Questions screen »

   

4. Enter one new answer choice per line
5. Select an existing question and use and to position the new question.
6. Click Save Changes

To hide a matrix group question:

1. On your home page, locate and open a survey in the survey editor.
2. Locate the question you want to change and in the question section click Edit screen »

   

3. In the Edit Matrix page, in the Questions section of the matrix group, locate the question you want to hide and click the Hide Question option.

   

NOTE: Hidden questions--
-- do not display to participants
-- remain in data downloads
-- can be purged using Reset Data Structure.

Re-Order existing questions

To change the order in which matrix questions are displayed, use your left mouse button to click-and-hold the up/down arrow, to the left of a question, and then drag it to the desired location. Click "Save Changes"
