2018 CALL for Nominations – NCPEID Officers

 

  • The call for nominations has begun in preparation for the NCPEID Annual Summer Conference in July.
  • Closing date for nominations will be April 30th.
  • Nominations should be submitted electronically using the online survey at http://tinyurl.com/NCPEID2018Nom (click link to access the survey)
  • All nominees will be notified and asked whether they accept a nomination before ballots are distributed. All nominees will submit a brief 1-page summary of their leadership experiences in adapted physical activity or other areas.
  • Ballots, along with the nominees’ 1-page summary/leadership profile, will be distributed electronically in early May to all paid members.
  • Voting deadline will be May 15th (ballots will be cast/submitted using an online survey). 
  • Newly elected Board Members will be notified by the President by May 19th.
  • Election results will be sent to members and posted on the website by May 19th
  • All elected Board Members are expected to attend the NCPEID Annual Conferences in July and Board of Director meetings held monthly online.

 

All paid members of the NCPEID have the right and responsibility to nominate and vote for Board Members. Nominations are open to all past and present members of NCPEID.

 

Primary responsibilities for the open positions include:

Secretary – (2 year term, July 2018 – July 2020)

  • Give notice of and attend all meetings of the Consortium Executive Committee and Board of Directors as well as to catalog the minutes submitted by all Consortium committees.
  • Conduct all correspondence and carry into execution all orders, votes, and resolutions of the Executive Committee and Board.
  • Be responsible for assisting the APENS Chair and helping to oversee operations and activities associated with the success of APENS.
  • Assist the APENS Chair in preparing an annual report reflective of activities, members, and test administration of the national exam.
  • Be the keeper of the Consortium Seal.

Treasurer– (3 year term, July 2018 – July 2021)

  • Keep an account of all monies received and expended for the use of the Consortium, and shall make disbursements approved by the President.
  • Collect the fees and annual dues.
  • Deposit monies received in the approved bank, or banks, or trust company, and make a report at the annual meeting or when called upon by the President.
  • Maintain a credit card/debit card for Consortium transitions and manage all electronic registration and membership fees.
  • Audit the APENS account annually to ensure expenditures and account balance.

Member At-Large –  (2 year term, July 2018 – July 2020) – 2 positions

  • Assist Vice President with planning the summer conference.
  • Assist with organization development and advocacy initiatives.
  • Serve the board in the absence of other board members.
  • Vote on issues brought to the board.

Student Representative – (2 year term, July 2018 – July 2020)

  • Coordinate the poster presentations at the Annual Conference.
  • Develop and implement an evaluation of presentations.
  • Attend all board meetings.
  • Disseminate NCPEID information at State AHPERD or CEC conferences and other professional meetings.
  • Assist with Nominations and Elections Committee and other activities within the committees.
